About the Fair

Junior Fair Board

Round Bale Decorating Contest

Limited availability – bales will be assigned as forms/payment are turned in.

ROUND BALE CONTEST RULES AND REGULATIONS:
1.) Any vendor or 4-H Club participating in the 2026 Crawford County Fair can participate.
2.) Entries and payment are due by Friday, July 31st , 2026. Mail or drop off forms and payments to the fair office at the fairgrounds.
3.) Bales will be set, but you must stabilize it from tipping or rolling, if necessary.
4.) Please do not let anything extend 2 feet off the bale in any direction. Anything ruled as unsafe or inappropriate will be removed without notice.
5.) Bales will be available for decorating starting on Wednesday, August 19th and must be decorated by Saturday, August 22nd at 2pm.
6.) Decorations cannot be removed until 8pm, Saturday, August 29th . All decorations must be removed by noon, August 30th .
7.) Voting will be available by QR code at each bale. Voting will finish at noon on Friday, August 28th .
8.) Vendors/Clubs are encouraged to join in the celebration of the 250 years of America with their bale decorations.

Want to make someone’s day? The Crawford County Jr. Fair Board is bringing back Candy Grams — a candy bar paired with a heartfelt message of encouragement, luck, or thanks, delivered right to that special someone.

Cheer on an exhibitor, thank a volunteer, wish a friend good luck, or just brighten a day. Every Candy Gram spreads a little joy — and every purchase supports the Crawford County Jr. Fair Board.

Junior Fair Board Contests & Events

Are you interested in becoming a member of the Junior Fair Board?

The Crawford County Fair Board is seeking applicants between the ages of 13 and 28 to actively serve on a Junior Fair Board.

Qualifications

  • Live in Crawford County
  • Be between the ages of 14-28 as of January 1st, year of fair)
  • Be able to fulfill a one-year term as a Junior Fair Board member (January-December)
  • Complete the Junior Fair Board application including signed parent/guardian consent
  • Have 2 signed letters of recommendation from a non-family member
  • You don’t need to be a member of the 4-H
