Harness Racing
Free with Gate Admission
2 Days – Friday August 21st & Saturday August 22nd – 1 PM in the Grandstands
Harness racing has long been part of Pennsylvania’s agricultural and fair traditions. In this sport, Standardbred horses pull a lightweight cart called a sulky while drivers guide them around the track at a trot or pace. At county fairs across the state, harness racing remains a popular event, showcasing skilled horsemanship while celebrating the rich farming heritage that continues to shape Pennsylvania’s rural communities.

Garden Tractor Pull
Free with Gate Admission
Saturday August 22nd – 6 PM
Garden tractor pulls are a popular fairground competition that brings together enthusiasts of all ages to test the strength and performance of modified lawn and garden tractors. During the event, tractors pull a weighted sled down a straight track, with the goal of pulling the load the farthest distance. What began as a friendly rural pastime has grown into a competitive motorsport, showcasing mechanical skill, creativity, and community spirit while providing exciting entertainment for fairgoers.

Mini & Draft Horse Pulls
Free with Gate Admission
Wednesday August 26 – 4:30 PM Mini 5:30 Draft
Feel the ground shake as these powerful horses go head-to-head in one of the fair’s most thrilling traditions! In a horse pull, teams compete to haul heavily weighted sleds across the dirt, with the load increasing round after round until a champion is crowned. Watch the mighty draft horses—Belgians and Percherons—put their incredible strength on display, then cheer on the mini horse teams as they prove that big things really do come in small packages. It’s a true test of strength, training, and the special bond between teamster and team. Bring the whole family out to see these hardworking horses in action and witness raw horsepower the old-fashioned way!
